Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Apex Performance Centre Ltd ("Apex", "we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We sell used vehicles to consumers and businesses, and we introduce customers who want vehicle finance to a credit broker.
Company: Apex Performance Centre Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16103326
Address: Unit 39, Wymeswold Business Quarter, Wymeswold Lane, Loughborough, LE12 5BS
VAT number: 489215457

FCA status: Apex Performance Centre Ltd (FRN 1057829) is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Jigsaw Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 679612). Jigsaw Finance Limited is a credit broker and not a lender.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at the address above.
2. Personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to sell you a vehicle, support it after sale and, if you ask, introduce you for finance.
Identity data: your name, date of birth and driving licence details, provided by you.
Contact data: your address, email and phone number, provided by you.
Transaction data: the vehicle you buy, price, deposit, part-exchange details, invoices and payment records, from you and our records.
Vehicle data: registration, VIN, mileage, and service and warranty history, from you, the vehicle, the DVLA and history-check providers.
Finance enquiry data: details you enter on the finance application form, such as employment, income and address history, collected through Jigsaw Finance's form.
Communications: emails, messages, call notes, reviews and complaints you send us.
Technical data: your IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookie data, collected from your device when you use our website.
We do not ask for special category data such as health information. If you share it with us, for example to explain a payment difficulty, we will use it only for that purpose and with your consent.
3. How we use your data and our lawful basis
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of your data. Ours are set out below.
Answering enquiries and arranging viewings and test drives — legitimate interests in responding to you, and taking steps before a contract.
Selling you a vehicle, taking deposits and issuing invoices and receipts — performance of a contract.
Handling warranty claims, repairs, returns and complaints — performance of a contract, and legal obligation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Introducing you to Jigsaw Finance when you ask about finance — taking steps before a contract at your request, and legitimate interests.
Keeping accounting and VAT records, including margin scheme records — legal obligation.
Preventing fraud and checking identity for test drives and high-value sales — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
Sending news about stock and offers — your consent, or legitimate interests for existing customers (soft opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time.
Running and improving our website — legitimate interests, and consent for non-essential cookies.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Vehicle finance and Jigsaw Finance
If you apply for finance through our website, your application goes to Jigsaw Finance Limited, not to us. Jigsaw Finance is a credit broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 679612). It is not a lender.
The finance application form on our website is provided and operated by Jigsaw Finance. The details you enter are collected by Jigsaw Finance, which acts as a separate controller of that data.
Jigsaw Finance may pass your details to lenders on its panel and to credit reference agencies, which may carry out credit searches. How it does this is explained in its own privacy policy.
We may share with Jigsaw Finance your contact details and the details of the vehicle you are interested in, so it can progress your application. Jigsaw Finance may tell us the outcome so we can complete the sale.
Please read Jigsaw Finance's privacy policy: https://www.jigsawfinance.com/privacy-policy
Our Initial Disclosure Document and Complaints Policy are also available on every page of our website.
5. Third parties we share data with
We share your data only where needed for the purposes above. Each recipient must protect it.

6. Cookies, retention, security and transfers
Cookies. Our website uses essential cookies to work, and with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
How long we keep data.
Sales, invoices, VAT and margin scheme records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year, as HMRC requires.
Warranty, complaint and after-sales records are kept for 6 years after the sale or the end of the claim.
Enquiries that do not lead to a sale are kept for 12 months from last contact.
Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we don't contact you again.
Security. We use password-protected systems, restricted access and secure storage for paper records. Only people who need your data can see it.
International transfers. Some of our service providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
7. Your rights, complaints and changes
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you
have inaccurate data corrected
have your data erased, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it
restrict or object to how we use it, including direct marketing
receive your data in a portable format
withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email info@apex-performance-centre.com. We will respond within one month and there is normally no charge.
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. Complaints about finance should follow our Complaints Policy.
